Hi karenfranklin, this usually happens when Firefox creates a new default profile after a Windows refresh or update. Your original profile may still be on the system but not automatically loaded. Try going to about:profiles and check if there is another profile listed that is not set as default. If you see it, you can set it as default and restart Firefox. Also check the Firefox Profiles folder in your AppData directory to see if your old profile data still exists there. In most cases, the data is not deleted, just not being used.

You sent me on a journey I hadn't tried before and ended with a tip I found to check the size of the bookmarks file in each of the profiles because the one that had the biggest file was probably the right one. It took me to the profile that I had considered to be the old one, but upon further investigation, the reason I thought it was the old one was because the open tabs were the old ones and not my current ones. Don't know why this happened but it is indeed the right profile and I have all my bookmarks and passwords back. Just have to start from scratch with my tabs. Which is a much less daunting task than recreating the bookmarks and passwords. So,... Thanks.
