Is there a specific name for the Firefox notification bar, other than that? NOT anything to do with popup blocking. The same bar that has the "mailto" handler pop up that appears beneath the address bar. All I can find is information related to website popup blocking which is obviously no help at all.

Hello Denys,

I was looking for a way to disable the messages completely. They pop up frequently and shift the contents of the page, often when I'm trying to click on a link. I was hoping there was an item in about:config that could be disabled, as was the case with the mailto handler message.
