As of around 6 weeks ago (bit of a guess) I no longer have the option of pausing/playing media on a tab from the tab list. For at least the last few years prior to this issue, whenever I had a tab playing media (mostly video, but sometimes audio e.g. a podcast episode on BBC.com) there would be a small pause button for that tab in the tab list.

I've attached a screenshot. The tab with the purple circle is currently playing a MP4 video (streamable.com) and I would usually see a pause button, I think where the circle is located but might have been in a different corner.

When the screen rotates, many videos freeze and thereafter all videos become unresponsive (and even some elements of the Firefox UI stop responding to taps) until the application is closed and restarted. I have experienced this problem for at least a year now. Reddit is a repeatable example: going to any feed (such as r/popular with videos), playing one, and rotating the screen.

I turned off all battery and CPU optimizations for Firefox, which improves performance on videos somewhat, but does not resolve this issue.

Subject Crew Travel access issue Hello, I am still unable to access Crew Travel (RCT). The page shows “The page isn’t redirecting properly” even after clearing cache, enabling cookies, and trying different browsers and networks. Could you please check if there is an issue with my account or the system? Thank you

my mobile app seems to always have the p. w. & log. ins available where as my desktop will pop-up asks me to at least once "sign. in" .. I believe they are synced .. am concerned for a phone gran & aitomatically having P.W. access to my sites .. am I missing a setting?

I'm not sure this is an issue on your side, but I've tried other browsers and this doesn't occur. It also only happens with English Wikipedia for some reason.

Whenever I click a term linking to another Wikipedia article I get presented with a preview of the article and I can only open the article in a new tab. I used to be able to just click on a term and go to the other article, but not anymore. This doesn't happen on PC, other browsers or Wikipedia in languages other than English (I've tried Dutch, Spanish, Indonesian and Norwegian). I've tried it without any extensions active as well, but no dice. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do? I've contacted Wikipedia as well, but since it only happens on Firefox I'd like to address it here as well.

My mothers new phone won't load external links and mine does?

I have way more strict security settings and same extensions. She has 2 and I have 13 extensions but they overlap and are not the issue. When someone sends her a link her Firefox does not convert the link like mine does, she gets a link in format https://share.google/ + string of letters, when she opens it, it's a blank page. When I open the same link it converts it from that to a regular link (https://). I have installed Firefox to at least 3 other people and none have this issue. I don't have this issue on desktop either.

If it makes a difference: Out all the people that have this browser on their phone she's the only one that has a new phone with Android 16 (mine is Android 14). They are both up to date on both software and Firefox updates.

Additional info: while playing video, I am able to pause through system notification (see image attachment) so the playback IS recognized. But no pause/play button in tab list.

Hi, Sometimes I would be browsing on Firefox, then I would need info from another app for instance, then when I get back to Firefox, the page always appears white (see attached). Consequently, I would not be able to see the notifications area and the info below the shortcut icons (see attached screenshot). I would not have this occur in the night mode. Thanks

Firefox for Android 150.0 Build 2016155439 OS Android 16 Autoplay set to "Block audio and video" but audio and video still autoplay from NPR.org website started happening a few weeks ago Is there a way to fix this please?

Please add a bookmark setting to remove the counter in bookmark folders. Better still just remove it all together. It has made bookmarks harder to find and doubles the screen I have stuck to version 143.0 to avoid this

Can you add YouTube chromium browser feature that swipe down from bottom edge of the video to full screen mode?

When I play a YouTube video, then I don't want it to be landscape Fullscreen. I want it to be portrait full screen mode where I can focus the present video without being distracted by others video thumbnail.

And guys please focus on popular platform to make them free of premium service like YouTube, Facebook and others. That's how you'll get their users who wants to get the premium feature for free like Brave browser focusing YouTube, that's great. But Brave don't have ublock origin extension, that's why I use Firefox. Because Brave Built in ads blocker can't block Facebook ads. Facebook ads only listen the BOSS called ublock origin.

One feature request that would make Firefox Android truly unbeatable:

Currently, to play YouTube or Facebook videos in the background, users have to manually switch to Desktop Mode, which is a frustrating and confusing workaround. Most users don't even know this trick exists.

Please make background play a native, one-tap feature that works automatically on any video platform — YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and beyond — without requiring Desktop Mode or any workaround.

Brave is already competing for YouTube users. Firefox can win them all by being the only mobile browser that plays any video in the background, natively and effortlessly.

This single feature would bring thousands of users away from premium subscriptions. YouTube Premium's biggest selling point is background play. Firefox can offer that for free, for every platform, to every user.

That is a massive opportunity. Please take it.
