Hello,

For some inexplicable reason, when I visit any Wikipedia page (as of Thursday 8th October 2026), the pages display with a huge oversized font that also impacts the format and layout of the page in my browser. I have not made any adjustments on my PC to increase font display size. Wikipedia is the ONLY website that displays in this manner.

I am running Firefox 115.42.0esr (64-bit), which appears to indicate Firefox is up-to-date on my Windows 8.1 desktop PC. Please note that I am still running Windows 8.1 on this device out of choice.

I reported the fault initially to Wikipedia itself, and the response is that any fault is at my end. I have visited the same Wikipedia pages via Chrome Version 109.0.5414.168 (Official Build) (64-bit) and the pages display normally.

I have attached a sample screenshot to illustrate.

Any ideas how I can resolve this issue please?

Many thanks - Dean

It is extraordinary that Firefox staff have become comfortable with their browser working, possibly, on some machines and not at all on others; and you got Firefox working again and then the latest update brought Firefox back to not working at all. Firefox updating is being done with unbelievable incompetence. It has been months and months since Firefox has worked properly on this Windows 10 computer; and in the past three or four months, Firefox has not worked at all most of the time. Over that same period of time, Microsoft Edge has been working ALL the time. You are going about updating all wrong! I really regret downloading this latest update! You have grown unconscionably comfortable with Firefox being a total DUD!

Don't know where it should be. But here is the issue: I check my personal email often, so I used to open Firefox, click the address bar, and my Outlook would be at the top. Now, for whatever reason, Firefox tries very hard to make that disappear, even though that is my most-used website. First, it'll drop a few places in drop-down, then some more, and then disappear. To bring it back, I'll have to delete unwanted links (the ones I open like once a month!) from history, and after quite a bit of work, Outlook will be back. Then rinse and repeat.....How can I fix this?

Hello, I installed the Firefox 158.8 update on my iMac (macOS Sequoia 15.8.1) today. All websites are working as usual, except for Amazon Prime Video; it loads once and then freezes. I can't perform any actions on the page—everything remains unresponsive. I can't enter a different URL in the address bar or reload the page, either. The only thing I can do is close the page. I’ve cleared the cache and disabled ad blockers, but nothing changes. Strangely, this doesn't happen with Firefox on my MacBook. What could the problem be?

How can I recover the bookmarks on my home computer that have been replaced by those from my office computer?

I have been using Firefox on my Mac computer at home and on my Windows computer at the office. Firefox started launching automatically when I booted up my office computer. This only began quite recently (since last update?). When I went to undo that setting, the browser prompted me to sign in, which had never occurred before to my recollection.

Today when I logged on to my home computer and launched Firefox, all my bookmarks had been changed to my work bookmarks.

Can my home bookmarks be retrieved?

I have a lot of bookmarks and am always adding new ones. Suddenly, a couple of weeks ago (Oct 2026), when I go to bookmark a new page, the star goes from clear to filled-in dull grey, not bright blue as it always used to. In the same way, when I go to a previously bookmarked page (and I've checked this on about 30-40 sites, so it's not a specific site), the little star is dull grey, not blue. I can't make any new blue stars and I can't turn any old ones blue again. They are all dull grey and I find them hard to distinguish. Was this part of the recent Firefox 'new look', and if so, can anyone help me get my blue stars back? I'm using desktop (not phone).

Firefox is still suggesting alternative websites when I type in the search bar despite the fact that I only have the bookmarks suggestion enabled.

You can see in the uploaded screenshots that when I typed "FFXIV," the search bar brought up a page that is *not* a bookmark and is some random site I've never been to. My settings are set for only my bookmarks - or so I thought. What am I missing here? Is there another setting I need to disable?
