Can't send email through TBird

error message is "An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: fed1rmimpo109.cox.net cox connection refused from 68.202.174.108." Can receive cox messages through TBird but CANNOT send cox messages through TBird Can receive and can send cox messages through cox webmail. Can send and receive gmail messages through TBird Only change is that yesterday we moved into a house and had a BrightHouse connection established, so wifi connection for laptop is through BrightHouse. Cox says this is BrightHouse's fault - that they issued a bad IP address. BrightHouse says it's Cox's fault - that their account settings are wrong Cox says the settings are correct. Mozilla support so far doesn't solve this. PLEASE HELP! Thanks.

That message says Cox will not let you send mail from your Road Runner internet connection. There is not much anyone else can do about that.

The IP address 68.202.174.108 being registered to Road Runner in Kissimmee, FLorida
