I am using MozBack up, when I followed the Wizard instructions a file was saved to my portable hard drive. I went back to Thunderbird and my inbox was deleted

I am using MozBack up, when I followed the Wizard instructions a backup file was saved to my portable hard drive. I went back to Thunderbird I found the contents of my inbox was deleted. Sent and deleted folders were not deleted. I then went back to MozBackup and followed the instructions to restore the information to my inbox but this did not happen. What did I do wrong.

incredible as it may sound. Mozbackup has nothing to do with Mozilla or Thunderbird. If you have questions about mozbackup I really don't know where you go.
