Any/all web sites will not refresh, the circling icon circles, but Firefox is not hung or crashed

more options

Firefox is open, multiple tabs. Any tab i press "refresh" in, the circling icon in the tab circles...forever. I can open a new tab, and any site i try to visit there also just circles forever. I can click on a favorite or type into the address bar, so the app itself is not completely hung. But, there is no ability to visit any internet web site.

You might think the internet is hung on my PC, but not so. The very same sites with this behavior in Firefox can be visited at that same moment, using Chrome or IE.

Any comments or suggestions? I would prefer to use Firefox over either Chrome or IE. But with this happening fairly frequently, i do not want to constantly have to restart Firefox. It is getting into this state maybe something like once a day or so (with continuous ongoing use during the day). It seems to be a little more common after the laptop comes out of hibernate, but that is not the only time it happens, it also happens randomly at some sudden moment.

Thanks!
