Firefox printing incorrectly to printer with Generic /Text Only driver

I have a printer that uses the Generic / Text Only driver, and everytime I try and print to it with Firefox, a carrage return is added after every space. For example this text: <pre><nowiki>< 875 000 096 099 > </nowiki></pre> Gets printed like this: <pre><nowiki>< 875 000 096 099 ></nowiki></pre> The text gets printed correctly if I use IE9 or notepad. Any suggestions?
