Firefox loading pages that come up in inelligble symbols?

Sascha87

When I try to login to something like gmail or youtube - the page comes up in a whole bunch of symbols but works fine in internet explorer? Can anyone help?

You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page and reset all bold user set network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset.

Check at least:

  • network.http.accept-encoding: gzip,deflate

Could you check cor-el's solution to this question and see whether it works for you? Website displays random code instead of page.

Never mind, you got your own custom solution.
