I want to get a previous version (post 3.6.24 but earlier than the new 8.01). Can't find anything on this anywhere.
That's it. I can't use the newest version due to multiple add-on incompatibilities but would like to get an older version that is newer than the one I have now, 3.6.24. Searched the website and don't see it. Maybe I'm missing something?

If you need an old PC version google for Filehippo
Please do not download from random unofficial download sites which include Filehippo.
The current version of Firefox 3.6 (3.6.24) can be found at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
mozilla.com -> Systems & Languages (below green button) -> Firefox 3.6.24 (link on right)
What Extensions are they as chances are there are updates for Firefox 8.0, more so if they are hosted at addons.mozilla.org

Thanks for your reply. I guess I thought that there were some versions in between 3.6.24, which I already have, and 8.01. If not then I will just keep using what I have. When I opt to upgrade via Firefox the first window that pops up lists the addons that are incompatible and it is pretty much all of the ones I use. I keep checking so I guess I'll just wait until that list goes away as I am sure it will in time since it includes Norton and some other pretty major players.
Thanks again,
Gary
Norton has been updating their toolbar for Firefox at or shortly after release including 8.0 ever since Firefox 5.0.
Thanks,
Apparently it doesn't include 8.01 yet. I'll keep checking.
Thanks,
Gary
P.S. you mention Firefox 5.0 but the only place I could find it was from FileHippo. Hmmmm, not sure what to do. I hate to screw things up, maybe I'll just wait for the add-ons to catch up to 8.01. It shouldn't be long now.
Not saying you should use Firefox 5.0 but rather Norton has been getting act together in releasing updates for Firefox (since Firefox 5.0) at or very shortly after a new Firefox release versus five or six weeks after a Firefox release like they did before.
Extensions that works with 8.0 should with 8.0.1 just fine unless the Extension author for whatever reason set the maxversion in extension as 8.0 and not 8.* or 8.0.*
