I want to update Thunderbird to the latest version
Thunderbird keeps timing out. The error message shows an email address not my own. What can I do?

- Who is your email provider?
- What version of Thunderbird?
- What is your operating system?
- What anti-virus/network security/VPN software do you use, if any?
- Please quote all error messages you see, precisely and fully. Screen shots would suffice.
- Try restarting Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode (see <Help | Toubleshoot Mode>.) Does that make any difference?
What makes you think that updating Thunderbird would be helpful? Unless there's a clear reason to do so, when you're having problems is not a good time to update. But if you insist, this article explains how:
