MacOS Firefox desktop 158.0.1 (aarch64) does not save PDF files at all
I updated today because of the CA issue but this version of Firefox seems not to be able to save PDF files. This might be a bug.
What I did to try to resolve:
1. Tested saving PDFs from different websites: no PDFs were saved. All failed silently (Save as PDF dialog closes as normal after I select the destination for the file. No file is produced, no error message is shown.)
2. Checked to see if a different application could save PDFs today on my computer. No problem. It's just Firefox.
3. Restarted Firefox: same problem
4. Restarted my Mac (mini m4, Sequoia 15.8.1): same problem
Note: Printing on paper from Firefox still works.

I assume Emilio did in bugzilla.mozilla.org/2083386 — it already landed in Beta and Nightly this week, and is planned to ship in v160 in about ten days.
(There's steps how to disable the accessibility feature as a whole: support.mozilla.org/questions/1587985#answer-1857919 for time being.)
If you want to help verify the patch, you can try running the separate nightly.mozilla.org which you can have on the side, separate from your day–to–day profile, to help confirm the issue on your system is resolved now as well. Thanks!

I didn't change anything, but today, PDFs are created as normal. Maybe an extension updated? (Checks extensions) Ahh, OneTab updated Oct 21 (yesterday), so maybe that's the culprit. [Edit: nope, see below.]

I have the same problem and I don't have OneTab
Update: The problem remains for me as well, so I'm mistaken about it being OneTab's problem.
Further experimentation shows that I can save PDF files from Firefox in my Desktop or Downloads folders (internal boot HD). I cannot save PDFs to any of my external drives now.
Other apps that save PDFs work normally.
Today's update did not fix the issue.
That sounds like https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2087074
Hello, has anyone found solution for this issue?

My external drives are APSF format natively mounted and not shared / SMB.

Thank you! This solved my problem. [ print.experimental.skpdf set to false in about:config ]
