Can I use Wildcard Characters in Spam Filtering?

I'm getting Spam Emails from about 10 regular Spam Accounts and I wish to Universally Block them by adding Them to my Filtering Lists. I'm using the * Character as a Universal Place Holder for the *@*.com, *@blah.blah.ca or com. The Filter works one Time then stops working for any fresh Spam. In other words, the Filter doesn't Filter any new Spam from these Addresses. Why?

Thunderbird message filters don't support wildcards out of the box, so I'm surprised it worked even once.

The add-on Filtaquilla greatly expands the capability of the standard message filters, including the ability to use regular expressions, which are much more powerful than simple wildcards (though more complex to write.)

Tried Filtaquilla...Didn't work for me. Guess I'll have to use a Different Email Program. Thanks anyways...
