eMails automatically being removed from trash folder
Hello,
I have found that once an email is put in the trash it will automatically be removed/deleted from the trash.
Today is June 14th and there are no emails in my trash folder older than June 9th.
Is there an account setting in Thunderbird for how long an email once in the trash folder will remain there?
Note, this behavior only occurs in the trash folder.
Using Mac Tahoe latest and Thunderbird 140.11.1esr (aarch64)
Thanks so much.

One setting that can affect that is found in <Account Settings | (the account in question) | Server Settings | Message Storage | Empty Trash on Exit>, which as it says, will delete all messages in Trash every time you exit Thunderbird. Otherwise there is no other local expiry setting for Trash.
But most or all email provides have server-side expiry policies. Gmail, for example, deletes Trash after 30 days. Yahoo after 7 days.
