Unable to open NEW Email on one click. i need to wait for 4-5 mins to open that email. even i am not able to open on one click which contains Barcode. which email contain barcode its also not reflecting in email and even i need to wait for 4-5 mins to open that email.

Kindly help me for this matter i need to change any settings.

What is your operating system? What is your Anti-Virus program if any? Is this a POP3 or IMAP account?

The usual suspect for this kind of performance problem is an anti-virus program, which can tie up operations while it scans. This can take a long time, especially for large folders.

Things to try:

- Restart Thunderbird in Troubleshooting Mode - go to <Help | Troubleshoot Mode>. This will temporarily disable all add-ons, in case one of them is misbehaving.

- If you suspect the anti-virus, if using Windows, restart in Safe Mode with Networking. The benefit of this it to temporarily disable the AV. If this cures the problem, set up an exception in the AV for your Thunderbird Profile.
