The two most common issues for video would be:
(1) Is the ffmpeg package installed? Firefox uses ffmpeg (external library) to decode MPEG-encoded media.
(2) Is DRM enabled and Widevine installed? This is needed for copy-protected media. See: Watch DRM content on Firefox.
