When writing a NEW or FORWARDING an exsisting E-mail T-Bird is sending me a copy of the E-mail every so often while I am typeing. LIKE it is backing up my work BUT should SAVE it as a DRAFT in the DRAFT folder NOT send it to me in an E-Mail.

Check to see where you specified to save draft messages. Tools>accounts>copies and folders>drafts and templates. Also, if you are using IMAP, setting draft folder to local will eliminate recurring saves.
