keyboard-shortcuts page does not document "shift + Enter" behaviour
(support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts)
Would be nice if a "new para" and/or "new body text line" item were present under Edit or Insert menu to help user learn the distinction. Users are having to search around for info in order to master these very basic operations.

Thank you for reporting this.
I've updated the contents of the keyboard-shortcuts page, but my edit needs to be reviewed before the page gets updated…
I'm happy my report reached someone positioned to act on it. (Some comments on this site made me think that these fora are not often checked by doers, so I had low expectations.)
Usability comment: "shift + Enter" acts in a very different domain than "ctl + Enter" & "ctl + shift + Enter". I don't love the riskiness.
Also, when I registered yesterday I was unable to include a space in my username, yet yours has one. A puzzle.
Best wishes.
Hi Neil,
By default Thunderbird gives a warning before sending an e-mail using Ctrl+Enter, although it's easy to dismiss this message and not show the dialog box again: Are you sure you are ready to send this message?
If you don't get this warning, you can re-enable this behavior by reinitialising or toggling the preference mail.warn_on_send_accel_key to true.
My username has no space, it's oeekker. I've changed my display name to Onno Ekker in my profile.

It's still not there. Do you know who to bump?
(Silly me for not checking 'display name' vs. username before commenting. Thanks.)
I've poked a bit around on IRC and got the page reviewed. Hope you like it better this way.
Thanks. I hope it helps users new to having para mode the default.
Here's a low priority observation about the new keyboard-shortcut entry's readability.
By its formatting, it nudges reader to "see" two key-driven action items:
action1 shortcut1 action2 shortcut2
because "Enter"-in-rectangle is on the left side of the entry's 2nd row, right column. This makes it somewhat taxing for the reader to parse (makes reader wonder if left & right para chars are typos).
One fix is to move the explanatory text to column 1, which would require a 3rd row.
An alternate is to cut down the right column text to:
Shift + Enter (when using Paragraph format)
There may be more elegant solutions.
Sorry for possibly being a nag and/or a bore!

Should be: left & right parenthesis chars

Noted, and added an update to the article. I've changed the text in parenthesis to start with the key to prevent confusion.
