How do I get a file out of 'Trash'?

I don't know how it was done, but a file that I was working on and was saved in the Drafts folder, wound up in Trash. I want it back. It was suggested that I drag this file to the Drafts folder but it does not drag. There is some fine print about an Internet connection that's not there. What in the world has that got anything to do with getting this file, that is in some folder on my PC, moved to the Drafts folder?

I the trash folder, locate the file you want and then right click it. Then select "move to" and choose the folder you want to place it in (Inbox, drafts...).

This made it worse. Now the file is no longer in "Trash" and I have no idea where it has gone to.

It's not in the folder you moved it to?
