I am using Firefox 38. When I rightclick on the downloaded file in the Library, it doesn't open in my file manager Thunar, but opens up the music player Audacious. How to direct it to open in file manager?

That wouldn't do anything. You still need to choose a menu item from the context menu. Which one?

If you have Nautilus then you can try to set that other application as the preferred application for this file.

  • Nautilus: right-click file > Properties > Open with (checkbox: remember this ...)
