so i was using my pc (and firefox) normally, when i then turned off the machine as usual.

when i turned my pc on again and opened firefox, everything was gone, i wasn't signed in and all my bookmarks and several home url's were not there, you don't need me to tell you that's not normal.

of course, i followed the most logical course of actions, i signed into my firefox account (from which i am sending this ticket), and expected all my data to magically sync, which it didn't, so i then tried to sync in manually, looking for any backup file on my pc (i couldn't find any, though i can't say i know what one looks like so...)

hopefully this can be fixed because i had auto-sync on and it would be a bummer to lose everything and slowly rebuild my browser ui from the ground up

Yesterday, I lost most of my bookmarks in several Bookmarks folders. These are critical to my work with several non-profit organizations. All efforts to follow Mozilla's troubleshooting advice and use the Manage Bookmarks functions to restore or import backups in my Profiles folders are met with the "Unable to process the backup file." message. I have a number of backups available, any of which could potentially resolve this issue, but nothing I have tried is working. Please help! Thanks, Shack

when i restarted firefox as requested, bookmarks displayed across top of screen were gone. the suggested fix was no help. Said cause was a FF file was in use. It implies i have Win10. I have Win11. **************

But in my up-to-date (or updated) FireFox, the restore backup by file option is appearing BUT enable backup or backup to file option is NOT appearing (screenshot attached).

I have messenger loaded but with Firefox i can not video call when i want to call a friend or family. I have no way to call any one i do have a web cam. do i need to go to Chrome every time i want to call. Messenger has stopped desktop messenger that was how i could call but now i can not is there some way to Facebook video call on Firefox please let me know thanks I want to stay with Firefox why is there no way to get video calls on Facebook??

When trying to "Save" after pro-cococut finishes downloading a file that is larger than 1 Gig and I can't find out what to do in order to have it save large files.

the theme i chose for firefox ("clear") is no longer here when i quit and reopen the next day - then it's "eye friendly" (brand new mac / tahoe) - i probably do something wrong but dont know what… thank you if you may help

ich stelle bei vielen Seiten im Internet fest, daß mit Firefox die Texte nicht richtig dargestellt werden, als ob Übersetzungsfehler vorlägen. Wenn ich zum Vergleich die gleiche Seite im zweiten Monitor paralell auf MS Edge aufrufe erscheint der Text dort richtig dargestellt. Zur Verdeutlichung meines Problems habe ich zwei Screenshots angehängt. Sie erkennen oben eine fehlerfreie Darstellung und unten die gleiche Internet-Seite - zum gleichen Zeitpunkt - mit dem Mozolla Browser.

Was muß ich an welcher Stelle in den Einstellungen von Firefox V146.0.1 für 64 bit auf Windows 11 ändern, damit ich weiterhin bei Euch bleiben kann? Für Eure Unterstützung im Voraus herzlichen Dank. Gruß aus Deutschland/Bayern/Augsburg

A few days ago (December 17th or so), Firefox just up and stopped loading altogether. I’m trying everything I can find, but to no avail. The internet itself is working fine. This is the message I’m getting (see attached).

I’m getting desperate, I can only do so much on my phone!

I updated Firefox for my laptop this afternoon and another Firefox window opened and I had 2 windows. I closed the original window. I tried to restore my tabs and bookmarks in the new window. My Recently Closed Tabs and Recently Closed Windows are greyed out in the "hamburger"menu. I have tried everything; trying to restore from my profiles folder on my laptop, trying about:session and at this point I am Totally lost and frustrated. I am asking for help :-) please to have what I had before. Thank you

Since the update of Dec. 9, many of my longtime accounts do not recognize me, and I don't currently have workarounds. I also keep getting nasty messages that I'm in mortal danger because I've lost contact with iCloud. I have a son-in-law and grandchildren with extensive computer expertise who will visiting during the holidays, but during the holidays, but I would much prefer to be partying with them than holding computer repair clinics.

Are there any measures that a complete amateur can take to solve the worst of this Gordian knot?

Recently, websites (e.g., YouTube) have stopped keeping me logged in. I've already checked all the security and privacy settings, but haven't found anything that seems to be causing this.

I hope someone can help me. It's really annoying having to log in to all the websites every day.

I am so disappointing in the CEO's decision to push AI. Firefox has a very dedicated following BECAUSE it does not push AI and all the other shady things other Browsers push. Everyone I know will stop using Mozilla browsers if they continue on in implementing AI.

I have spent so many hours deleting every sneaky file, disabling every program, having all firewalls block any AI. (I really do need to switch to Linux with the amount of time I spend on this lol...)

How do we contact the higher ups? If large numbers of users emailed/heck even wrote (making a point that we will delete our Mozilla accounts if AI happens) maybe it could help? Or a petition?
