Since going to v15.0.1, media will not play and it says I need Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.278 but it won't upgrade
Against my wishes, Firefox forced me to update to the latest version in order to view flash content. Since upgrading to v5.0.1, every time I try to view flash content, it says I need to upgrade to Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.278 ... which I have done at least 5 times in the last half hour and it still says I need the same upgrade I have already made five times!! It even said I had to upgrade Java, but when I tried to upgrade, Oracle told me I already had the latest version! I'm a twenty year + user of Mozilla browsers and email clients but am now ready to throw in the towel and switch to Internet Exploder! What gives???

I see neither Flash nor Java listed in your installed Plugins submitted with your question; click "More system details" to right of your original question. "Shockwave Flash..." and "Java Platform SE..." may be disabled in Add-ons > Plugins or may not be installed on your system.
Flash has an ActiveX version for IE only and a different Plugin version for most other browsers. New version 11.4.402.287 just released in the last 24 hours for both versions. Windows users should always update both. Download and save the installer to your hard drive, close all browsers, then run the installer(s). You must check a box in the lower left of the installer window agreeing to their terms. The direct download links for both Flash versions are below:
- Plugin version of Flash (for Firefox and non-IE browsers)- http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin.exe

The Java installer must be downloaded and saved to your hard drive, close all browsers and run the installer. Carefully review all windows during the installation and un-check the download and/or installation of any additional items (toolbars, other browsers, etc.).
