I want to use firefox internal pdf viewer and made firefox to the standard pdf viewer on my Windows 11 system. In the settings of firefox I associated pdf with internal viewer. Nevertheless, firefox opens a downloaded pdf with the internal viewer and with acrobat reader two times.

This is acrobat reader "feature". You have to deselect the Always open PDFs downloaded from the web option in acrobat.
