All of my new emails go to Trash with Thunderbird 155.0 (bug2068847)
My Thunderbird Account was updated by TB on 2 September. Since then all of my new emails go to Trash. Although I've tried the various responses to such questions, I've been unable to change the problem and get my new emails to come into my Inbox. I'd very much like your assistance please. Thank you.

If you are using filters, make sure none of them have a blank (empty) field.
I have this EXACT issue. I get emails from three separate providers and it's only the AOL controlled ones that are going to Trash.
I check AOL online and it doesn't send emails to trash folder but when TB downloads the emails, all go to Trash.

I've been using the same Filters for years and never had a problem until the Sept. 2nd date like the OP posted.
So very grateful for your assistance re emails going to Trash. Had spent ages trying to sort things out. Your responses solved my problem immediately. Many, many thanks.
I've made no changes to message filters. This problem started after the Sept 2 update. What changed?

Did you actually make sure none of them have a blank (empty) field?
Please download and install https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/candidates/155.0.1-candidates/build1/win64/en-US/Thunderbird%20Setup%20155.0.1.exe if you are running 155.0 on Windows - it has a fix which has been tested. We would value your immediate feedback that it resolves your problem without introducing new problems.
To Wayne Mery and other contributors. I SO appreciate your help and advice. My question was responded to almost immediately and when I applied the response my problem was solved. I responded with thanks immediately. I'm terribly grateful for your help. However my question is still being answered even though my problem has been solved and even though I've written to indicate that. I'm so sorry to people who have continued to respond. I'm not sure how you missed my message. But please do know I'm very grateful for the assistance. I thank you all and wish you well.
Thanks for all the feedback. Yes, removing the blank line should help. We have a follow up item...
Please update to 155.0.1 which has a fix. We are interested to know if that fix helps with the old filter...
So if you add the blank condition back to a filter, does it now behave nicely (i.e. not badly) ?
Thanks Wayne.
I think I missed your message earlier about updating to 155.0.1. I've now done that and tested it and all's well. Working perfectly. Thanks again. Really appreciate your help. All the very best from Teresa.
