After version 149 update, search returns blank page on yahoo
Default homepage is yahoo. Since the update to version 149, if I do a search from yahoo, the new tab that opens with the search result is blank most of the time. I have to click reload for the search results to show up.
Is anybody else having that problem? Seems to be yahoo search specific but not 100% sure.

Hi,
The issue should now be resolved on Yahoo's side (which means you don't need to change any settings to make it work). Could you please confirm?

Now I am getting a similar situation where I am on my homepage (www.yahoo.com) and it just goes blank spontaneously about 30-60 seconds after reaching www.yahoo.com. Not a new blank tab, not a new blank page, not while searching. Just ... by itself ... it shows "www.yahoo.com" at the top in the address field but just goes blank.

The bug is not resolved !!!!!! I am running Firefox 151.0.4. When I open my homepage (which is Yahoo) I get a flash of the screen and then a total blank, Cant use anything because nothing can be seen on yahoo main page.

Hi badapple, just to confirm, reloading fixes it?

(the last two users here ^^ describe the same behavior, but it's unrelated to the search protection this thread was related to — both have set that as home page and the page disappears after load; would go through troubleshoot mode to eliminate any addon interfering etc.)

UPDATE !!!!!
When I open Firefox in "troubleshooting" mode, www.yahoo.com shows up. I notice that I am not logged in. So it is something with my login to Yahoo that is the culprit. But I don't know where to start this trail....... Any suggestions?
I have found a resolution to this problem. I used another browser to log into my Yahoo account. Once on Yahoo, I signed out of my account.
I then opened Firefox and www.yahoo.com came up on the screen and stayed. I then logged in and presto !!!!
Problem solved.
So, sign out of Yahoo (with a different browser) and then sign in to www.yahoo.com with Firefox.
