Trying to add second email to Thunderbird
I can get as far as add email and password, when I click continue I can't get any further, just get a round swirly blue circle for ever.
I saw an answer that said don't add the password at this stage, but if I don't add the password the continue button is not available

click to 'settings>general' and UNTICK the experimental setup service and try again.
Ok, please post a screenshot of the screen where you first attempt to create login that includes your email address. That may help.
