My new computer (have it for 2 months) with Microsoft edge as browser stop working , the message was to reset my PC. After updating windows, I noticed that several programs such as Norton, and Thunderbird were removed. Norton - no problem, I was able to put it back. I installed Mozilla again with my 2 existing accounts. All my local folders and calendar are gone. Is there any ways to recover this? Thank you

Yes this is what Windows does as those programs were not part of Windows. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12415

re: All my local folders and calendar are gone. Windows usually creates a 'windows.old' folder which should contain your old profile. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17125/windows-8-restore-files-old-folder-upgrade It should be here: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\ The AppData folder is folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders, open a Windows Explorer window and choose "Organize → Folder and Search Options → Folder Options → View (tab) → Show hidden files and folders".

I presume you installed Thunderbird program. You may have run Thunderbird to auto create a profile, but you have not created any mail accounts as yet because you want to use the old profile.

Exit Thunderbird if it is open.

Access the 'windows.old' folder and locate the AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird folder. Copy the 'Thunderbird' folder.

Access: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming folder Paste the copied 'Thunderbird' folder into the 'Roaming' folder (if necessary - overwriting the default one created when you recentally installed and run thunderbird).

Make sure Thunderbird is an allowed program in your Firewall whcih may be located in your Norton Anti-Virus program.

Start Thunderbird.
