For 2 different email name choices to create an email account, it gave me an "invalid name" error message, I don't care whether I have a FF email account or not. I just want to complete the installation & get the icon(s) on my desktop. This is a desktop I am installing with Windows 7, although I have had Mozilla FF on 4 or 5 other machines. This is not the 1st time I have run into this problem of not liking the email account name. Recommend that 1) provide some guidance on what is wanted or why the selection is not satisfactory; & 2) provide a way around the problem if an account is not desired or needed. Have not finish loading app's yet. Attempted FF acct: * Respond to: * .com

Hi

You do not need to set up a Firefox account to use Firefox. You will need to set up an account to be able to make use of Firefox Sync across different devices (for example with Firefox on an Android mobile phone), but to just use it to browse the web on your Windows PC, you do not need to set up an account.
