I want to order the emailadresses in maps. Not to use them by group, but to find the adres more easely.
If I start making an Email and I want to find an adress, I like to go to a map, and from there to an adress. Than I don't have to look for an adress in the very long list with all adresses. I am used to this way of working with my old mailprogamm. So : I dont want a mailinglist. I have that already.
I hope that you can help me. Thank you .

map = folder?
Thunderbird comes with two address books:
- Personal Address Book, and
- Collected Addresses
You cannot create folders in an address book, however, you can create multiple new address books, and file your contacts in those.
Thanks for the help, but this is the case: I made folders. But : If I start making a new mail to send ( in Dutch it says : opstellen " ), than, when I want to chose the Emailadress, and click on one of the folders, it doesn't give me the list within that folder. When I DON'T make a new mail, and I am on incoming mail ( in Dutch postvak in ), and I open the adressbook, THEN the folders give me the adresses that are in that folder.
So : from incoming mail YES
From opstellen NO
Strange......
Please, can you help me ?
I made folders.
As said before you cannot create folders underneath an address book.
when I want to chose the Emailadress, and click on one of the folders, it doesn't give me the list within that folder.
I have no idea what you're talking about. Please provide a screenshot of your problem. http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem
I'm just guessing, what you possibly have underneath an address book are mailing lists, which is a completely different thing. I don't know why you insist on the term 'folder'. The term 'map' in this context is even more confusing. Please use the correct terminology, that will make it easier for everyone.
