I just installed FF 16 on a computer that just had Windows 7 installed. I was using Firefox just fine before but now every site I go to (Mozilla, Facebook,CNN etc) that are known sites are poppin up as untrusted and I have to add them as an exception with every "new site" i visit (since it's it's an upgrade of firefox).

Two common causes for this are:

(1) Problem with system clock.

(2) Security software that proxies your connection, i.e., it substitutes its own certificate for the real one. Bitdefender has been identified as causing this issue, and you can switch off the Scan SSL feature in the Privacy settings to resolve it.

Do either of those seem applicable?

I think it was number 2. I just got off the phone with our IT group and they had me do a "GP Update" and it seems to be working now. They also had to do a few things with their "Administrative rights" on the back end but so far it seems to work.

Thanks for the quick response!
