A website I am using does not display prices and its owner says it's my browser settings that are wrong, not their site.

Thomas Thomann (thomann.de) are among other things, musical instrument on-line suppliers. I have visited their site on several occasions and they list products with "our price" ( in Euros) and a sub title in GB pounds. Everything such as tech. specs. product descriptions etc is forthcoming except no price numbers appear (either in Eur or GBp) I complained often that I could not compare prices as I browsed products and they said that it must be a problem "with my browser settings" I have not had any similar experience on other internet sites from which I make fairly regular purchases, so my browser settings must be o.k.?

I've checked the site and they seem to be using a GIF image (sprite) and use CSS code to display a specific number from that sprite to make up the numbers that display the prices.

So make sure that you do not block CSS on that site to make it work.

You can check the order of the installed languages and move the preferred language to the top to see if that helps.

Thanks so much for your offer of help cor-el. Unfortuneately, thomann.de website (I'm looking for p.a. speakers) does not have tools>Options etc. so I can't go that way. Are there any other options open to me? or do I just give up and go to my local music store? Sholly

Dear cor-el Thank you for trying to help me. It is my 69th birthday today and do you know what? I realise that in my ignorance of things cyber I am way out of it and I can't afford the hassle of trying to do something that I do not have affinity with! So I am going to use a U.K. supplier for my new speaker (whose site is geared up to GB £s.and is fully priced up thus.) Though I am semi computer illitterate I have achieved much in my life thus far and I enjoy financial and spiritual eqilibrium. So, Thomann can live without me and I can sure live on without them!! Kindest regards sholly ( a recalcitrant Brit)
