Firefox has changed the way I format my hotmail emails. There is no longer a background colour tab 2use only text plus, I cannot change the font 2 a font of my choice y?

I changed my browser from IE 2 Firefox because I was having problems. However, while I am overall happy with Firefox, I have noticed that the font has changed on web pages and in my emails. Y? Also, in IE in rich text, I could format my emails from font choice 2 text colour and also 2 background text colour. But, in Firefox I can no longer do that. The font choice wont change, and there is no longer a button 2 press 2 change the background text colour y?
