I am no longer able to open new tabs by clicking on the '+' sign as I have been doing. This just started yesterday to act differently. How can I get it working again? Right now in order to open tab, I must right click a link in current webpage and tell it to open in a new tab. Hassle!

Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and the current version of Firefox.

I don't have the ASK toolbar installed. Any other suggestions? I installed it then uninstalled but it didn't help.

Your user agent string is "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 AskTbPSI/3.11.3.15590 Firefox/3.6.13 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)" - The AskTbPSI part indicates the Ask Toolbar was installed at some point.

If you no longer have the Ask toolbar installed, check for other extensions that may be causing this, for details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes

Thank you so much TonyE! Uninstalling the Ask Toolbar worked. You are my new hero.

Many abundant thanks to TonyE! Your suggestion cleared my problem immediately. The online Mozilla community is tremendous. FireFox is the ONLY way to fly.
