the links in my hotmail are not responding when i click on them

in my hotmail inbox, when i click on the link of my email, it doesnt open up the message. in fact, none of the links that i click on the 'hotmail' page is working

Hello Ashleigh.

It's either a hotmail problem (it won't work on other browsers if it is), or a browser problem. If it's the latter, you may be having a problem with some extension that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all extensions (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

what do you mean by disabling the extensions? like which one and how do i go about doing it?

Yes, me too. However seems to work fine in IE7. Only started about 3 days ago.

Ian, if the problem exists even in safe-mode, then it's an issue with Hotmail. Microsoft is known to deliberately make life harder for people who don't use their browser, so it would surprise me, to be honest.

Thanks for info. As suggested tried it in safe mode and it worked. Cleared messages and restarted normally- guess what! It works again. Thanks for suggestion and fingers x'd it lasts.

I have read the replies, also followed your link. This happen to me last weekend as well.I cleaned cookies, and check mail in internet explorer. Hotmail worked again. I have tried everything this weekend when it happen again and can only work my hotmail in internet explorer. Soo what to do now?? I am feeling confused!

Have tried disabling all add-ons? To do so, simply start Firefox in Safe Mode and disable all add-ons (extensions and plugins). If problem disappears, which it probably will, enable one add-on at a time until it reapears. Contact the problematic add-on's author for support.
