Is there any way to lock tabs within groups?

Frequently finding myself when switching tabs with mouse movement the tabs move out of the group that I am working in. Because I frequently need to have 8+ tabs open at a time for quick file and email access it would be nice to be able to keep tabs where they belong without needing to drag them back in. Its a minor issue but still helps.

Hi! At the moment, Firefox's Tab Groups don't provide a “lock group” or “lock tabs in group” option. Tabs can still be dragged between groups, so there isn't currently a way to prevent accidental moves.

One setting may help with the accidental grouping problem: go to Settings → Tabs and disable “Drag tabs together to create tab groups.” This prevents dragging tabs together from automatically creating a group, while still allowing you to manage groups normally.

For tabs that you need to keep permanently accessible, Pinned Tabs are another option, although they don't stay inside a Tab Group.

A dedicated option to lock the contents of a group would be a reasonable feature request for Mozilla.
