Upgrade to Thunderbird 115.18.0 esr appears to have erased my calendar

Have used Thunderbird for years and never had this issue before. Just upgraded to Thunderbird 115.18.0 esr and my calendar is now blank. Did the upgrade erase the data or is a pointer off somewhere? Can I get my calendar back?

Thank you Lin. I think your suggestion would have worked if I had seen it before I tried rebooting. I was coming back to say Thunderbird could see the calendar after I closed it, rebooted Windows, and opened it again. Hopefully this will be useful if others have a similar issue.

(Did not see a way to edit the original post.) Calendar was local to Thunderbird on my computer. No add-ons or remote products. Did not do a calendar backup before upgrade because never needed to in the past. (If that is recommended going forward, it might be worth including a popup encouraging doing a calendar backup before the upgrade.)

This is unusual and not normal behavior, hence no warning.

Do you have a backup of your entire Profile, not just the calendar? That calendar could be imported.

All local calendar data is stored in your profile, in the file "calendar-data\local.sqlite". If you're lucky and the calendar data is still in that file, but it's just not showing, you might be able to import it from the menu item <Tools | Import | Import from another Thunderbird installation | Choose a Profile Folder>, then navigate to your current profile, then uncheck everything but Calendars.

A reminder: if your email/calendar/contacts/etc. data is precious to you, you should make regular backups of your Profile.
