I can't add my Yahoo Mail account because of an authentication error.

The following message is displayed: "Authentication error Can't sign in to the server. Please check your username, password, and settings."

The authentication method "OAuth2" does not appear. 

I can sign in and receive mail with the same ID and password in a web browser.

Make sure cookies are allowed in Thunderbird. See https://support.mozilla.org/kb/thunderbird-and-yahoo
