What OS what Fx version.
I have, Windows, Ubuntu and Raspberry OS's and they are all on Fx 150.0.3.
They update as they come out and no such problem over decades.
Could you show a screen shot please?
No. I don't know how to show a screenshot. The entire screen was filled top to bottom with the particular site I was visiting. Something I read said pressing F11 would bring a temporary fix. I did that and indeed was able to bring back both the task and the menu bar. I sure hope that didn't just bring about a temporary fix.
In Firefox (and most other web browsers), F11 is the shortcut key for Full Screen mode.
When you press it everything disappears the address bar, your tabs, the bookmarks bar, and even your computer's taskbar are hidden. The site you are viewing fills the entire screen.
How to go back to normal? Simply press F11 again to exit full screen mode.
If you need to switch tabs or type a new URL while in full screen, just move your mouse cursor to the very top of the screen. The Firefox toolbar will slide down temporarily.
You can use that for Watching Videos, Reading or if you are working on a laptop with limited screen space

It's very annoying to have to keep minimizing the screen in order to see the menu and task bars now. I'm not able to find anywhere in the Firefox settings to get that to happen so I don't have to keep minimizing the screen that I don't want maximized in the first place?
F11 is a feature in almost all Browser's. Press F11 if you don't want Full Screen to have the menu permanently displayed.
