Hello, I have selcted the option "Expunge" under Settings -> Server-Settings -> Message-Storage. The intention was to delete messages from the server of ma Email-Provider (GMX). Unintentionally however, the result was, that instead, the Messages have been deleted from my local computer. Can I recover them? They do not appear in the Recycle Bin.

I am using Version 149.0.2 (64-Bit) on a Windows Computer.

Thank you in advance, Michael Gerkens

Are those message there when you log into the GMX web interface? If not, they are gone. You could ask GMX to restore them.

Hello, Thank you !

Only some of them are still on the server. But here is a follow up question: How can I force a download from the server to my Thunderbird App? I can only download very few, the others remain on the server.

Expunge compacts the folders, so they're gone. On your question, ALL folders are always downloaded to your PC that have been specified in the #synchronization&storage' pane at the advanced button and you've also set to sync all messages regardless of age
