search not working properly
Today my goggle searches, are being sent to the address bar, and have the google tag in front of them, I cannot use any of the other search engines that drop down from the upper search bar, so just google, and that is really hijacking my search.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The team is working on implementing a modern embedded search UI for the New Tab.
It was decided to remove the legacy code to clean up space for the new one, but that decision was canceled due to accessibility reasons. You can expect the legacy UI to (temporarily) return in the nearest future.

Ok, I don't really understand, so the problem is universal? And there is nothing I can do at present?
Yes, the best you can do now is waiting for the next Firefox release. There's a workaround with removing a study mentioned here, but IMO it's simpler and safer to wait for an update.
