When I recieve email with inline images all are shown as attachment at the end. These are personal photos usually send in an email generated on a cell phone, but the same happens when coming from a PC running t-bird as well. All are Win 11 and the O/S and TBird are all updated regularly. Changing "View Messaage Body As " HTML original, HTML simple, or TEXT, only changes the size of the placeholder. The configuation is pretty much as provided by the setup program. I assume this is a simple setup step I am missing as it is the same on two PCs that are WIN 11 and one that is UBUNTU.

Try clicking on the View menu and selecting "Display Attachments Inline".

If you don't see the Menu Bar at the top which seemed to go away after a recent update, should be able to right-click somewhere in the top area and Select Menu Bar to re-enable it.

"Display Attachments Inline" was already checked. Unchecked it, checked again, restarted computer - no change. Any other thoughts? Thanks!

I'm using TB version 140.11.1esr (64-bit) on Ubuntu Linux and came across this post.

I've been seeing this exact same thing for a while now (this was previously not an issue.) I was hoping there was a setting or something that maybe had changed with some update, but I've been unable to find anything that resolves this issue. I simply cannot find a way to display in-line images in emails. It's somewhat frustrating for accounts that get regular in-line images sent to it (such as camera security systems).

I figured if others were having the same problem, this would be widely searchable online, but this is really the only thing I've found while searching for anything similar or a resolution (aside from a thunderbird-android issue that just submitted a fix 2 days ago.) Is this expected behavior now in TB or should this be working?

"Original HTML", "Simple HTML", "View Attachments Inline", etc... are all enabled. I've restarted TB I have no idea how many times. Nothing seems to work. Any assistance with getting this working again would be fantastic!
