BBC videos won't play

Hi. News videos from www.bbc.com won't play. When I ask the BBC website to play a video, I get a blank area of my screen, with a play button. Clicking the button makes it go away, leaving me with just the blank area of the screen. Videos from youtube, movie trailers, etc play fine - it's just videos from a few sites (such as BBC) that yield nothing. I have autoplay videos disabled by default, but: I'm not trying to have the website autoplay; The setting doesn't affect other websites; and there's no way to disable autoplay for the website I'm on (no way I can find, at least).

Ok - it is one of my addons. I disabled them all, and now the videos play properly. So, I just need to narrow it down, and add BBC to any whitelist option(s).

Well - this is wierd. I re-enabled my addons & extensions, one at a time, and did not find any that blocked the videos. Now, I have them all re-enabled, and the videos play fine. Computers... are illogical.

I am on track. Apparently, disabling addons take effect immediately, but ENABLING them requires a full restart of Firefox.

I found it. It was the Privacy Badger addon. At least, this addon has an easy way to disable for a particular site. I also reported their addon (an option in Privacy Badger) as breaking the web page.

Glad you investigated and figured it out. Wish more users could do the same. If you further questions, mark it as resolved and get back to that government mouth piece BBC.
