Press ctrl key on keyboard and click on the link that you want to open on a new tab.

There is no built-in option for this. However, you can use an add-on. For example:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/open-link-with-new-tab/

Note: You need to go into its options to select your preferred behavior.
