I am trying to empty my Junk folder, but TBird just hangs "Not responding". This doesn't happen with emptying the Deleted folder - that works fine. I have recently moved to Windows 11 - this didn't happen on Windows 10. I am running release 128.7.1esr (64 bit).

What type of mail account is this (POP, IMAP)? What are your Account Settings > Junk Settings > Destination & Retention settings?

Right-click on the Junk folder, choose Properties > General, copy the contents of Location and paste them here, if not all, at least the part you don't mind to show. While you're there, you may try clicking Repair Folder and see whether that makes a difference.

Start Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode. The following article explains how to do that and why it can be useful to help identify the cause of a problem:
