If anyone can help me with an email problem. The issue is with "Thunderbird 91.0.2" & opening emails with image/picture attachments. It gets stuck with just a message saying "Loading Message" & freezes. The problem happens on multiple computers with the same version. Restarting computer doesn't help. Removing & reinstalling Thunderbird doesn't help. The issue will only happen with images (attachments) larger than 15MB. The problem started recently with the new version "91.0.2" was working okay with previous versions (E.g. 78.13.0). I have tried with other people computers & their computer's also have the same problem. If an email has multiple images (attachments) & it totals to more than 15-20MB, that is usually when the problem happens.

What's the maximum message size allowed by the mail provider? Because of encoding overhead, a 15MB attachment results in a message that is about 33% larger, e.g. 20MB.

Mail provider is GMail & I can send 15-20MB without any problem. However sometimes if an email has multiple attachments (images) totaling 15MB-20MB, Thunderbird just freezes when trying to open the email message.

Gmail's limit is 25MB for the max. size of attachments sent by you, but what about the limit for those sending you attachments? The other obvious question is if an antivirus is scanning incoming mail.

No AntiVirus other than Built-in (Win10) Defender. Attachment size limit is not the issue/problem. If I send an email from my phone it is the same problem. I already have the message downloaded (POP) with Thunderbird. It is just opening or viewing the message that is the problem.

Doesn't hurt to run in troubleshoot (safe) mode (hold Shift when launching TB) as the simplest diagnostic.

Already tried running in safe mode. Thank you for trying.
