History doesn't capture all sites

For some reason my firefox history is always incomplete. E.g. when I search for something on duckduckgo and then visit stackoverflow, it often doesn't add the visited page (in this case stackoverflow) to the history.

I somehow wasn't notified of your answer, so I'm only coming back now. Of course there is nothing blacklisted, these were only examples. But I found the culprit:

The history sidebar is sorted by date by default, which for some reason sorts the pages for each date somewhat alphabetically - so the entries were there but not in the expected order. Changing the view to "Last Visited" fixes it. Kinda sad that I loose the grouping then though...
