Desktop has connectivity issues. Need to download 66.0.2 on laptop.

Have been trying for several days to download Firefox setup 66.0.2.exe on desktop computer in poor connectivity area. Download has failed several dozen times.

I'm at a library with decent wifi using a laptop. I did several google searches for Firefox 66.0.2 and it won't go.

I downloaded the file and saved it to my flash drive.

This will probably work when I copy it from my flash drive to the desktop this evening... unless more downloads are required during installation.

Thanks a lot.

Hi richardchasen, if it's a 40MB+ file, it should be the complete one. The "online" installer is very small.

It installed last night. I'm happy.

Now it wants to update again. I may or may not update as my desktop can't download a file more than 10M without interruption. If it doesn't download I'll just keep clicking "later".

Strange. I don't think there's an update beyond 66.0.2.

Maybe the time machine dropped off my computer in the wrong year. Or there is an idiot in my computer.

I clicked on the update link and it wanted to do the 315 kb down loader. (which takes up to 20 minutes on this machine. )

Hmm, puzzling. I would avoid downloading updates on that connection, as they are large. I think the last one was 14MB.
