Hello,

I have an issue with my draft. My account is a gmail one. I think the problem comes from the moment when I added a draft on Gmail on my phone. I have an error message who is saying "The current operation "Draft" cannot be succeded. The server for the conne......" (its from french translation, may not be very accurate) and I cannot see the end.

I try to compact, empty my folder draft nothing, it is also empty on my phone.

I tryied everything but I keep receiving this message on my Mac from Thunderbird.

Thanks for your help !

Answering your immediate question, "How can I unsubscribe from the draft folder?"

In Thunderbird, right-click the e-mail address in the list of folders on the left side, then choose "Subscribe". This will show you the list of folders on the server you can subscribe to. Check-mark the ones you want, and un-check-mark the ones you don't want.

Then click the "OK" button.

Quit Thunderbird, then run it again. The subscribed folders will be updated to your choices.

Log into Gmail webmail, and delete that draft e-mail there. https://mail.google.com/

Hello,

My draft folder is empty on Gmail too, that's the problem.

I believe that there is a problem with Gmail and its Drafts folder. Actually, Gmail does not actually have real "folders" like you see in the Gmail webmail. All the e-mails exist in one real "folder", and each e-mail has a tag saying what fake folder it is in.

That draft e-mail that you think started it all: Does it still exist elsewhere in your Gmail? If it does, then deleting it (using Gmail webmail), might solve the problem.

Also, empty your spam and trash folders.

The only other thing I can think of is to try to get the Drafts "folder" working properly again by putting messages into it, then deleting them or emptying the Drafts "folder".

Do this when Thunderbird is not running. Use Gmail webmail. Also try doing it with your phone. Do it a few times.

Then run Thunderbird and see if the problem is cleared up.

If that fails, then Unsubscribe from the Gmail Drafts folder in Thunderbird for a day or two, using the Drafts folder under Local Folders instead.

Maybe later when you subscribe to the Gmail Drafts folder again, it will work better.

Still not working after trying to add draft and then delete them :(

How can I unsubscribe from the draft folder ?

Finally it wasn't Gmail, it was another address :(

Sorry guys, but your advices helped to solve the problem anyway !

Thanks for your time :)
