On a regular basis, Thunderbird will not display messages, and the HELP button disappears. Users log on to Win7 Pro (64-bit) via a Centos Domain controller (Samba). Thunderbird is set up for IMAP, via Dovecot.

To fix it, I have to find a backed-up profile for the user, remove the current one, and past the older one in its place. It then works, until the next time (usually the next day) they log in.

Lately this occurs since the update to version 38.4.

Standalone versions are not affected.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Thanks, Bill.

I have fixed this for now by re-installing Thunderbird version 38.3.
