I would like to delete the Bulk Mail folder because it contains spam that my Yahoo account has already filtered out. Possible or no?

Unless you do something to stop yahoo filling it, deleting it will be futile as they will just re-create it.

It's not hard to delete its contents. ctrl+a, del.
